Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Arsenal are preparing a new contract for Gunners youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly

and Mikel Arteta’s backroom staff have been thrilled with the development of the 18-year-old left-back, who has made seven Premier League appearances this season.

The report states that Arsenal see Skelly as a key part of the club’s long-term project and is likely to be rewarded with a new deal later this year.

The star in question is Myles Lewis-Skelly who has came through academy ranks at North London. He is only 18 years old but has been key player for the first team squad this season. Lewis-Skelly mainly plays as left back but can also play as holding midfielder and central midfielder.

Lewis-Skelly made his debut for Arsenal first team this season. Since then, he has continuously impressed everyone at the top most level of football. He has played 15 matches across all competitions.

The 18 year old has made debut in Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup and UCL. He has started in all those competitions with recording 7 starts so far for the North London club. The club is now prepared to reward the youngster with deserved award.

The England Under-19 international has made 15 first-team appearances in all competitions this season and most recently started the 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday night, where he earned plaudits.
